Pickering Pioneer : Fathers Day! The teen boys went that away, so the wife and I went the other and we found ourselves here, in an authentic, relocated pioneer village out, into the near country side of Ajax, in Durham County. I've ridden past this community project dozens of times on the road-bike and have never gone in, even though it's only a few short miles or so from our home. It was a pleasant day well spent and practicing my composition skills.

Winter White : Winter White : Yes, it's winter in Ajax again, east of Toronto and the winter doldrums leave little to shoot in sterile suburbia. The first week of February 2008 and three major snow storms have whacked us back to back in just as many days. A short meander about the perimeter of my neighborhood in the storms aftermath provides for a few photographic opportunities, despite the passing nasty weather. (Plus a few additional images from about the same time period).
